Mr. Duckworth joined TED Renewables in 2022 and is currently the Vice President of Origination where he leads customer engagement and commercial offtake for TED’s renewable energy portfolio. Prior to joining TED, Ben was Director of Renewable Energy and Marketing for AEP Energy Partners, where he led renewable energy origination and power purchase agreement negotiation for the company. Over his fifteen-year career at American Electric Power, he executed over 3,000 MW of power purchase agreements and assisted in the acquisition of over 1,500 GW of renewable assets. He is a graduate of Ohio University, with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Ben also earned an MBA, at Ohio Dominican University and is a Board Member for the ALS Association of Central & Southern Ohio.
Elias Toshiro joined Tyr Energy in 2020 as a member of the Business Development team, mainly engaged in solar development and tax equity investment activities. Before joining Tyr, Elias was with Itochu Corporation’s US IPP team for 8 years, supporting numbers of investment and M&A activities of its subsidiaries.
Brandon Dageford is a driven and dedicated professional, passionate about the energy industry. With over a decade of experience in the energy industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as Director of Land at Ted Renewables.
Brandon has a proven land and business development track record, having completed multiple energy projects throughout the United States. He is known for effectively navigating the complex landscape of land permitting and has a talent for negotiating contracts and acquiring land rights.
When he’s not working, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, Frankie boy, fishing, hunting, golfing, and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhusker football team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Peru State College and is an active member in his community.
Ian joined Tyr Energy in 2019 as a member of the Business Development team, primarily focused on renewable development and equity investments. He transitioned to TED Renewables in 2022 as a Manager of Project Development for TED’s utility-scale solar development portfolio. He earned a BA degree from Washburn University and has been working in the renewable energy industry since 2014.
Sam Roberts is a Chicago-based electrical engineer and attorney, with degrees from Auburn University (B.E., 2015) and the University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D., 2022). A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Sam previously worked at Southern Company as a Transmission Planning Engineer conducting various studies to evaluate generator interconnection and transmission service requests as well as serving on a number of NERC, NAESB, and SERC committees related to grid reliability and power flow model development. Most recently, Sam was an Associate Attorney at K&L Gates in Chicago in the Intellectual Property Procurement and Portfolio Management group.
Allison graduated from the University of Durham with a MSc in Sustainability, Energy and Development in June 2023. In this graduate program, Allison focused on urban regeneration, land use, and environmental justice all within the context of the energy transition.
Maiah O’Rourke is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While completing a B.A. in journalism and international relations with a certificate in environmental studies, she interned for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue’s Secretary’s Office and developed a passion for working with the state’s agricultural communities. Maiah returned to UW-Madison and graduated with a B.S. in agricultural & applied economics in 2024. Maiah joined TED in June, 2024.
In her free time, Maiah enjoys playing tennis, visiting museums, and cheering on the Packers.
Lara recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on sustainability. Her program allowed her to explore courses in environmental law, policy, energy storage, econometrics, and risk management, among other things. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she lived in Miami, FL, until relocating recently to Kansas to join the TED team.
